FAQs

Common Questions About EFIS / Stucco

Traditional stucco is a cement-based coating with no insulation. EIFS adds a layer of rigid foam insulation under the base and finish coat, significantly improving energy efficiency.

EIFS is water-resistant, not waterproof. Proper detailing at windows, doors and penetrations is critical. We install drainable EIFS systems with weep screeds for any moisture management.

Yes. CMU block is an ideal substrate for stucco. Brick requires proper surface preparation and a bonding agent or scratch coat before stucco application.
